The Kaskader team is currently restoring the foundations of the RP Idrija – Oblakov Vrh power line. Due to the difficult terrain, we also used helicopter assistance for the concrete works.

The foundations of the 20 kV RP Idrija – Oblakov Vrh power line are located in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings in Idrija. While access for our spider excavator was not an issue, we had to find an alternative solution for transporting concrete and larger construction materials.

Under normal circumstances, we would install a temporary cable crane system in such conditions, but this was not an option in this case. The environmental impact would simply have been too great. Transporting the material along an alternative route would also have risked reducing the quality of the concrete due to the prolonged transport time from the concrete plant to the construction site.

The only way to ensure fast, high-quality restoration of the foundations within the planned timeframe was by using a helicopter. It transported larger construction materials and fresh concrete from the loading area below the Kobalove Planine plateau to the foundations above Vojkarska Street in Idrija.
